Elevate Their Game: Skill, Character, and Athleticism Unite

Because your favorite player has either attended a Playmakers tryout, or been approved to participate by Coach Harris, you've been given access to season registration. Use this portal to register your favorite young hooper. Registration in full is due before March 14th. Registration price depends on your chosen registration option, but that registration will include 1 to 2 tournaments a month, three practices per week, and complete uniform set that consists of customized jersey top and bottom, travel bag, and shooting shirt. All registration options will have several payment plans available.

Once registrations and rosters begin to settle, Coach Harris and his team, will discuss player placement on particular team rosters. After that, Coach Harris will inform the parents of specific practice times and location, as well as tournament dates. Generally speaking though, you can expect the following: All tournament games typically fall on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). A minimum of 3 tournaments per season (Spring & Summer) will be scheduled with at least 3 games per tournament. Teams will very likely practice on Saturdays, except on tournament weekends.

For players that are athletically, and academically prepared, we have partnered with Playmaker Planner Recruiting. They provide many tools to student-athletes of all sports, however, they will be assisting the hoopers on our teams! Playmaker Planner will provide their basketball specific planner that will help players track goals, commitments, progress, and more as our players balance their lives on and off the court. Equally as important, Playmaker Planner will give our players access to a powerful recruitment software with tons of useful features for any player ready to make themselves visible to college coaches.

Players simply bring themselves ready to work and make some progress. Players only in practice, but they're all yours after practice is over. :-) They are welcome to bring something to drink in a container that can be closed. Please have them leave their ball at home, as we have plenty of basketballs.

Our spring season starts in early March, and practice days and times will be released within the first week of March. Once practice times and locations have been released, they are typically locked in stone, as we do not like to change practice times, in respect of the schedules of the busy sports parents we serve.

The first tournament will be in late March. To be clear, we release the tournament schedule for the spring and summer seasons in March, allowing parents to plan accordingly. We are very intentional when it comes to tournament dates being locked in. We will never surprise parents with a tournament a few days prior. It's important to us that the basketball stuff is the easy part of a parent's schedule.

Please, please arrive at least 30 minutes before a scheduled gametime, as it is very common for games to begin early. On average, the most they'll wait before calling the game a forfeit is 5 minutes.

Admission is free for players, however, any spectator coming to see your favorite player that's older than about 5 years old, can anticipate paying between $15 and $25 for a weekend pass, allowing access to all games played over the weekend. Also, at most tournament hosting facilities, be prepared to pay in cash, though they may accept CashApp or Venmo.

Most tournament facilities have what we would call limited seating, as they typically do not have expandable bleachers like during the school season. Anticipate waiting for the previous game to end for most seats to become available. Also, on some occasions, the tournament hosting organization will use more than one facility/location for games. For example, Game 1 is at location A, and Game 2 is at location B. When this happens, the locations are usually within 10 miles of each other.

When it comes to the vast majority of tournament hosting facilities, no outside food or drinks will be allowed at any facility/location in which games are played, unless it's a seal-able container or sports bottle within a player's backpack or parent's bag. We have some savvy parents that get snacks through, but they never share their trade secrets. ;-)

If we even HEAR about a tournament organization that is run in a fashion that condones or allows inconsiderate parents or other spectators to get out of hand, we stay away from those organizations like the plague. In the slim chance that a tournament we attend has an altercation, the hosting organization always has paid professional security on site. Besides, we've been blessed to have the best basketball parents that are the example for those "other parents."
